OUT THE FULL POTENTIAL OF YOUR SALVATION Today is the day of salvation! Let it be proclaimed from the housetop; Christ is our salvation … and He is Lord. What do we mean by salvation? Many of us have limited salvation to just being saved from our sins, but salvation means far more than just spiritual redemption or deliverance from sin. The word “salvation” in the Bible also means; prosperity, soundness, health, security, peace and victory. Salvation also implies; “A new start in life.” When you have an old car that you want to continue to keep in service and there is a need for a new part to repair it, you have two alternatives in which to restore that old car back to service. You can purchase a brand new part or go to a recycling center and purchase a used but functional part. If you purchase the used part, what you have done is given that part salvation. You have given that part a new opportunity to be placed in service or a new start in life. This is what God has done for us. We were useless to Him and the world in our fallen state of sin. So God restored us to our original state by purchasing our salvation [our opportunity to be placed into service again to our original state]. He looked beyond our unfit and useless state and looked at our potential to be like His Son and sent his Son to give us His Love through the Life of Christ. Christ Jesus gave His life and we that believed in (John 3:16-17) and on him (John 14:12) received that [anointed] life that was in Him and that anointing that was on Him. It was this new life, purchased with His blood, which gave us this new start in life (salvation) and placed us back in service. What are you doing with that life? Are you living up to your full potential of salvation, according to Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11 through 16? Are you continually developing in the Anointing as a result of your salvation, according to 2nd Corinthians chapter 3, verses 17 through 18? Are we pursuing that in which we have been apprehended based on the access provided by salvation, according to Philippians chapter 3 verses 10 through 14? Are we accepting our charge as ministers of reconciliation afforded by salvation, according to 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verses17 through 21? If the answer is yes, than Christ’s substitutable death for you is not in vain (Gal. 2:20-21). His grace and peace (another expression for salvation) is increasing in your life. The attributes of God’s faith should be developing in you to such an extent; “ … For
if theses things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall
neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ.” As
Apostle Peter, so I; “ … Make your calling and election
sure … ” and; “ you shall never fall.” (2nd
Peter 1:10) short of God’s glory and purpose for your salvation.
Live out the full potential of your salvation. Begin today.
