STATEMENT OF FAITH

CORPORATE HISTORY & MISSION STATEMENT

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Christian Compassion Center is a non-denominational Word of Faith Christian Fellowship and Evangelistic Outreach Ministry.

We Believe that the BIBLE is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, written WORD OF GOD.

We believe that there is only one God, existent eternally in three persons (the Triune God, and one in unity); God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

We believe in the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; His virgin birth, His miracles, His atoning death and resurrection, His ascent to the right hand of the Father and His imminent personal return to earth in power and glory to reign for a thousand years.

We believe in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration; His sanctifying power indwelling in the believer, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to enable the Christian to live a holy and victorious life.

We believe that salvation comes through the personal repentance of sin and the confession of faith in the precious shed blood and Lordship of Jesus-Christ.

CORPORATE HISTORY & MISSION STATEMENT

Christian Compassion Center, Incorporated is a Non-Denominational, Evangelistic Outreach Ministry and Church Fellowship. Christian Compassion Center (C.C.C.) began as an organization in April of 1982. On January 3rd, 1983 it was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit corporation. Although Christian Compassion Center is a religious corporation, it specifically pursued an IRS 501(c)(3) ruling an order to provide a broader base of service and thereby, at the same time make it possible for foundations and secular "for profit" corporations to provide philanthropic support.

The mission of Christian Compassion Center is to reach the un-churched, feed the poor, help the homeless, the jailed and the imprisoned. Our long range objective is to establish facilities to administer basic needs to the aforementioned, providing such services as; temporary housing, feeding, clothing, and teaching them workable skills that will enable them to get a new start in life.

At present, Christian Compassion Center is actively ministering in the Jails and prisons. The Christian Compassion Hour, a weekly television outreach program, is televised all over the county of San Diego, on the local public access cable network. The program teaches the un-compromised gospel of Jesus Christ and sound Christian morals and principles.

We also have a Food Bank Program where we distribute food to homeless, unemployed people throughout the city. We provide this service every two (2) weeks (every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month) at no charge to the recipients. We purchase the food from the local county "Food Bank" program, out of our own general fund. We minister in several convalescent homes throughout the city and we are currently preparing a hospital bedside ministry.

The founding fathers, Pastor Bonis E. Byrd, Jr. and wife, Mrs. Bonnie L. Byrd were both Computer Scientist in the secular world. It has been a longtime dream of theirs to establish a "Computer Literacy" program within their ministry to give low-income young adults and teenagers an opportunity to learn a skill that otherwise would not be obtainable. This would give these young people an opportunity to contribute in their society and provide for their households with a better than minimum wage job with advancement opportunities.

The Byrds’ likewise have been television broadcasters for over twelve (12) years. They desire to implement a "Video Technology" program. Once again targeting the teenagers and young adults of low-income status within there community.

The future goals of Christian Compassion Center is to establish two (2) additional non-profit corporations; an Economic Development Corporation and a Community Development Corporation. With these two additional corporations, Christian Compassion Center and its future sister corporations will be able to provide a complete and well rounded service program to its community; spiritually, morally, mentally, economically and physically. These types of services will promote the general welfare and promote good health to each participant.
