GOD IS A GOOD GOD

My God, who is Love (1 John 4:8), is a good God. Because of religion I could have been lost forever. But you know God is not only a good God, He is a patient God. Because I did not want to be like the religious people I saw around me, I went through life with my own concept of God, doing what I believed was right. For many years I believed I was perfectly find the way I was. It was not until I really heard the Word being taught and had began to study the Word for myself that I realized, because we did not get into the Word for ourselves, those religious people and I were in the same predicament. We were being lead by the flesh. Those religious people, who change God’s Truth to satisfy their flesh, made their own laws. They only accept what they want. They live according to their own rules and regulations. They believe what they want to believe, and reject what they don’t want to believe. By allowing themselves to be lead by the flesh, their eyes are blind, which prevent them from seeing the whole concept of God.

In order for those who are being lead by the flesh to take in the whole concept of God, I would like to convince them to take off their blinders. I’m not trying to convince anyone to believe what I say, but to believe what the Word says. Do the Will of God. “Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matthew 22:37). Because of the Father-Heart of God, God planned, before creation, to make in His image a man who would have a loving relationship with Him as His child (Romans 16:25; I Corinthians 2:7; Ephesians 1:4-5). Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, and trust God to open the eyes of your understanding by explaining Himself out of His Word.

I have allowed the Holy Spirit to lead me in “The Way”. When I study the Word, I saturate myself in the Word, not with one aspect or with one doctrine, but with the whole concept of God. It was not until I allowed the Holy Spirit to make the Word a reality in my heart that I could understand how God is a good and patient God. By discovering the goodness of God, and learning how to apply His Way in my day-to-day life, I no longer make excuses of why I haven’t received things that I have been standing on. If God said it, God means it. If He promised it, it will surely come to pass, because He watches over His Word to perform it (II Chronicles16:9 [a], Jeremiah1:12 [b]).

My desire is to have everything that God has promised me; but I would like for my brothers and sisters in the Lord, His whole body, to realize they can have also. As Christians…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). We cannot be lead by the flesh. Believing what we want to believe and rejecting what we do not want to believe is not God’s Way. God desires for us to have a full knowledge of His Will and to be successful. If we would study the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, all that we are standing for will come to pass, because my God is a Good God!
